Meet your agronomist…
My name is Kristie Keys, I am the Extension Agent – Agronomy for Castro/Hale/Lamb county. I graduated from Texas Tech University with my Master of Science in Agriculture Education with additional studies in Plant & Soil Science. I was an Ag Science Teacher for 8 years total with additional industry experience with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, Eco-Drip, and USDA-ARS. I am excited to be back with Extension and be able to assist Texans in making decisions within their farming operations, providing education to adults and youth, and serving in my local communities. My 2023 program focus will be soil health specifically deep soil sampling, analyzing and interpreting soil results and providing recommendations.
